Multimedial performance
What do I make you see
What do I make you see is a multimedial physical performance where the audience becomes a spectator in the intimate process of self-portrait photography. The photos that are taken during the performance end up at social media and even though the performance ends, the online images remain in public sight. How do these images represent the portrayed person, when these images are just traces of an expired moment in time? And how can we trust our skin as representation of ourself, when our body image is more than an image and changes with how we feel and look every other day? This is a work in progress in which I examine the act of making self-portraits and posting these images on social media and subsequently question how this impacts how young females construct their body image.
